The prophet Muhammad peace be upon him one day delivered an address,and in this address he praised some muslims.
Then he said,'How is it that some people do not help their neighbors in developing knowledge and understanding of Islam,
and do not apprise them of the admonitory aspect of remaining ignorant of religion,and do not restrain them from doing evil.
Why is that people do not learn about Islam from each other and do not ascertain the consequences of remaining ignorant of religion?
I swear by Allah,it is incumbent on every muslim to impart knowledge of Islam,to people,to develop understanding of religion,
to tender advice to them and to tell them good things.'
(Tabrani,Ma'ariful Hadith)

A person told Abdullah Ibn Abbas that he wanted to preach Islam i.e to enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil.He asked,
'Have you acquired that position?'
The person replied,'Yes,it is hoped so.'
Ibn Abbas said,'If you do not apprehend that the three verses of the Holy Quran would not disgrace you then you should certainly
preach islam.'
He asked,'Which are those three verses?'
Ibn Abbas said,'

'DO NOT ENJOIN WHAT IS REPUTABLE AND FORGET YOURSELF.'
(Surah Baqarah)
Ibn Abbas said,'Have you acted on this verse fully?'
The person replied,'No.'

he second verse is;
'WHY DO YOU ENJOIN WHICH THAT YOU DO NOT DO?'
(Surah Saf)
Ibn Abbas asked the person the same question to which he replied in the negative.

The third verse is;
Hadhrat Shu'aib said to his people;
'AND I DESIRE NOT,IN ORDER TO APPOSE YOU,TO DO THAT WHICH I FORBID YOU.'

Ibn Abbas enquired,'Have you acted on this verse fully?'
He said,'No.'
Ibn Abbas said,'Go,first enjoin yourself what is good and restrain yourself from what is evil.'
This is the first step of a preacher.
(Ma'ariful Hadith,Ad-Dawah)

Hadhrat Hudhaifah has reported the prophet peace be upon him as saying;
'By him in whose my hand my soul is you must enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil,
or Allah will certainly send a punishment from himself to you.Then you will make supplication and not receive an answer.'
(Tirmidhi)

Hadhrat Akramah says that Hadhrat Abdullah Ibn Abbas said;
'Deliver a sermon once a week and if you like you can do so twice,but do not deliver sermons more than three times a week,
and do not let the people develop hatred with the Quran.And if it is that you come upon a people and find them busy,
then instead of interrupting,keep your silence and if when you find them inclined to listen then address them and be careful
not to use rhymed phraseology because i have seen the prophet peace be upon him and the companions that they did not like
extra ornamentation in addressings.'

In the Glorious Qur'an, Almighty God has addressed the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh): "Thus it is due to mercy from God that you deal with them gently, and had you been rough, hard-hearted, they would certainly have dispersed from around you." (3:159)

Suddenly, there was a person, he said salaam.'May I come in?' he asked.But Fatimah did not allow him enter the room.'I'm sorry, my father is ill,' said Fatimah,turned her body back and closed the door.She went back to her father who had opened his eyes andasked Fatimah, 'Who was he, my daughter?''I don't know, my father. It was the first time forme to see him,' Fatimah said gently.Then, Rasulullah looked at his daughter with trembled look,as if he wanted to reminisce about every part of herdaughter's face.'Know one thing! He is who erases the temporarypleasure; he is who separates the companionship in theworld.He is the death angel,' said Rasulullah .Fatimah bore the bomb of her cry. The death angel cametoward him, But Rasulullah asked why Jibril did not comealong with him.Then, Jibril was called. Jibril was ready in the sky towelcome the soul of Habibullah and the leader of the earth.'O Jibril, explain me about my rights in front ofALLAH?' Rasulullah asked with a weakest voice.'The doors of sky have opened, the angels are waitingfor your soul.''All jannats open widely waiting for you,' Jibrilsaid.But, in fact, all this did not make Rasulullah relieved,his eyes were still full of worry..'You are not happy to hear this news?' askedJibril.'Tell me about the destiny of my people in future?''Don't worry, O Rasul ALLAH. I heard ALLAH tell me:'I make jannat haram for every one, except the people ofMuhammad who are inside it,' Jibril said.It became closer and closer, the time for Malaekat Izrailto do his work.Slowly, Rasulullah's soul was pulled. It was seemedthat the body of Rasulullah was full of sweat; the nerves ofhis neck became tight.'Jibril, how painful this sakaratul maut is!'Rasulullah uttered a groan slowly. Fatimah closed her eyes,Ali sat beside her bowed deeply and Jibril turned his faceback.'Am I repugnant to you that you turn your face back oJibril?'Rasulullah asked the Deliverer of Wahy.'Who is the one who could see the Habibullah in hiscondition of sakaratul maut,' Jibril said.Not for a while, Rasulullah uttered a groan because ofunbearable pain.'O ALLAH, how great is this sakaratul maut. Give me allthese pains, don't give it to my people.'The body of Rasulullah became cold, his feet and chest didnot move anymore....His lips vibrated as if he wanted to say something, Alitook his ear close to Rasulullah.'Uushiikum bis shalati, wa maa malakat aimanuku - takecare of the saalat and take care the weak people amongyou.'Outside the room, there were cries shouted each other,sahabah held each other. Fatimah closed her face with herhands and, again, Ali took his ear close to Rasulullah'smouth which became bluish.'Ummatii, ummatii, ummatii?' - 'My people, mypeople, my people.'And the life of the noble man ended.Could we love each other like him? Allahumma salle 'alaMuhammad wa baarik wa salim 'alaihi. How deep isRasulullah's love to us.Note:Send this to all your Muslim friends so that there is anawareness towards the love of ALLAH and His Rasul - because- truly - except this love, the other loves, are only fana(not everlasting) thing.Ameen......Don't worry if people hate you because there are manyothers who loveand care you in the earth. But be worried if ALLAH hatesyou becausethere is no other who loves and cares you in akhirat.May Almighty Allah guide all of us to the Right Path andgive all ofus the courage to accept the Truth in the light ofQur'an and Sunnahand to reject all things which are in contradiction to theHoly Qur'anand Sunnah.(Ameen!)
